An employee can often waste their working time entering data more than once. It undoubtedly causes errors, different spellings and, not least, it creates a frustration in the employee.
In many companies, the employee often has the feeling that it is necessary to follow up on the many manual processes that follow their task - often these processes can be streamlined or automated for the benefit of the employee.
As a company grows, it often happens that each department gets its own small data archive, where only the employee knows where the information is. Systems such as ERP, CRM, PDM etc. have the task of gathering data, but are still challenged when you want to see a common data from all systems across the company.
Most often, a company is run on the basis of financial insight and more rarely on the large amount of data that employees put into the company. Gradually, softer values such as the number of sick days, waste in production and CO2 accounting are equally important parameters when strategic decisions are to be made.

Over the years, I have been in charge of ensuring that the process from the first line in the CAD program to the finished product was optimized and streamlined as much as possible.
One of the greatest experience values I have taken with me from the industry is to see the synergy in getting systems to work together and thereby the opportunity to display the desired data from one place.
